Today's Notes:

Don't try to cover everything in one post. Split up the topics and dive deeper. Would you agree?

I wanted to see what would happen if I went from idea to post in one day and certainly learnt some interesting things.

I think you’ve got two or three posts in here - one on Spanish and one on trying to become a better writer - and maybe one on AI usage

I think it’s a good note

Yeah I almost didn’t post it to break in down into those sections! I have a backlog of unfinished articles from the past 3 months though and I just want to get practice in. Also title and subtitle crafting took me almost as long as the post itself so that needs as much work as the writing!! Do you think when splitting it up I can still use sentences from this post or do I have to make a fresh and expanded version of the topic?

I think you can definitely reuse what you like from this article!

And publishing instead of waiting is better anyway. You’re doing great

I enjoyed reading this.

I agree with your author notes about more than one post in here. I also think that it’s better to get something out than overanalyzing.

FWIW, you’re already a good writer and are using language well. I think you may be overthinking a little bit 😀

What are the ideas that you’re waiting to publish until you’re “good enough”? I’d be curious to know more

Thanks so much for this. It’s really appreciated. Yeah I’ve been comparing myself too much and everywhere I look on Substack it’s “I’ve made 100K this week!” “Just woke up to 100 new subscribers!” Haha!

There’s an audio series I’ve been thinking up about emotional regulation and the loneliness pandemic. Thoughts on how to make genuine friendships as adults and why those could be more important than familial relationships. Ideas on connection, how we interact with ourselves and reconnecting with nature and what it means to be human. well, the list goes on.

Turns out I have a lot of ideas…

I think I get worried about wasting nuggets in essays that will never be read but I now understand that there’s a million ways to say the same thing so I look forward to writing as much as possible.

Yeah the comparison thing is a tough one. If it helps, most of my followers have come from one lucky post. So you’re only one away from hitting it, and posting is the only way to get there.

I think you’ve got a lot of great ideas and I’m excited to follow along! I e subscribed

Loved reading this Fia. I can definitely resonate with the battle between leaning on AI and learning to trust the voice that comes through me, even if it's messy and shakes.

Also you prompted me (in a non AI way lol) to get back into DuoLingo.

My partner is French so getting back into that. But, I lived in Mallorca for a while. Never got fluent and would love to.
